Vyatskie Polyany Russian VEPR 308 (Molot-Oruzhie)
$1,700
Description
The VEPR semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester is built on the RPK-style receiver and configured for centerfire operation. The VEPR line’s heavy-duty design derived from the Kalashnikov pattern. The rifle uses a gas-operated action with a rotating bolt and features a semi-automatic firing system. Chambering in .308 Winchester provides compatibility with a wide range of commercial and military-spec ammunition. The overall configuration reflects the VEPR’s characteristic milled receiver construction and reinforced components suited for the .308 cartridge. This VEPR is used. The rifle’s semi-automatic mechanism, receiver, and barrel assembly maintain the standard VEPR layout, which typically includes a thicker receiver and heavier barrel profile compared to standard AK-pattern rifles. The finish is consistent with the manufacturer’s production style for .308-caliber models, typically a protective coating applied to steel components. Controls follow the Kalashnikov arrangement with a right-side safety selector and side-mounted charging handle. The rifle’s furniture configuration may vary depending on the specific production variant, but no additional details are specified for this model.
